The Project

I was approached by Simon at Orema to design and build a new WordPress website landing page for his startup business. The AR technology and devices that Orema utilise are very high tech so, the look and feel of the site needed to reflect this.

I took some creative influence from Orema’s technology partner DAQRI, whose own site looks stunning. Using the logo and a combination of sharp typography, I put together a couple of initial layouts based on a similar theme. I initially expected the page to be quite simple, but as the content developed, so did the complexity of the design.

Simon’s aim is to use this site as an introduction to the company, with a main site is due to be created in the future. The information provides a nice overview to what the technology does and how it can help potential investors. The navigation at the top directs visitors to different sections down the page and keeps things very compact.

Keeping the files sizes manageable for the various Vimeo video links was a little challenging. But the result is pretty good and has little effect on the overall performance.

The web design was created using the WordPress framework using a premium theme.
