Project info

Philip Nash Photography is a small independently owned photography studio based in Oxfordshire. Phil is experienced in many forms of image capture and specialises in wedding and portraiture photography. He is also an approved infant photographer and a member of both the official photographer organisations BIPP and MPA.

The challenge

I was approached by Phil to redesign his business photography website as it was in need of an update. The old site was created by Phil himself using online click and build software, but it was looking both dated and was difficult to manage.

The requirements were for the new website to be responsive and to be easy to update. It had to showcase Phil’s portfolio and be able to match the local competition from other photographers.

We opted to use WordPress for the build and a custom theme – as this is a very cost effective method of website build. The biggest challenge was to create the portfolio which needed to showcase Phil’s hi res imagery.

Phil already had his logo in place, so I just used this as a guide to enhance and build upon his exisitng brand identity.

The results

The end result is an optimised responsive WordPress website that is easy to maintain, looks good and showcases Phil’s personality. With the good level of optimisation, the site is doing well in Google rankings and can be found on page one for local searches.

I hired Mark after a referral to re-design my photography business website which looked dated and wasn’t easy to update. My new site is now properly optimized, is bringing in lots of new leads and has become a powerful marketing tool. I would highly recommend Mark to anyone looking to create a new website.
