I was commissioned to create the new visual identity after SomCom initially approached me. They explained that the logo design had to be suitable for use on their website, signage and business stationery. Most importantly the identity had to stand out and be different to the local competitor brands.
The colour green was chosen because of its fresh and vibrant nature. It also enabled SomCom to differentiate themselves in the marketplace.
The company logo itself features a brand mark that resembles a snow-flake. This element is made up of three W’s joined at one edge. This is a direct reference to SomCom’s connection to the world wide web.
The new logo has given the company an new lease of life and renewed confidence. SomCom are now able to position themselves as a prime contact for charities and organizations wishing to use their skills.
